7 Reasons to Read the Glorious Quran

(1) Intimate:

It dares you to disprove it. How? It says that humans can not write a book like this even if they pooled all their resources together and got help also from the spirits. The Quran said this fourteen hundreds years ago and yet no one has been able to disprove it. Billions of books have been written - but not another one like the Quran.

(2) Incorruptible:

It is the only religious sacred writing which has been in circulation for such a long time and yet remains as pure as it was in the beginning. The Quran was kept intact. Nothing was added to it; nothing was changed in it; and nothing was taken away from it ever since it was completely revealed 1400 years ago.

All the praise and thanks be to Allah and peace be upon Muhammad, the last of the Prophets, and upon his brothers Prophets and Messengers and upon his family, his companion and whoever follows him with benevolence until the day of Resurrection.

         This is my way; I do invite unto Allah with a sure knowledge and whoever follows me. Glory to Allah and never will I join gods with Allah), sourat Youssef 108.

      Dear brothers and sisters, we would like to provide a brief introduction to Assuna Annabawiyah Mosque.

       The mosque was inaugurated in Ramadhan 1413 AH (April 1993 AD) to be one of the organizations in North America; vocalizing the Aqidah and following the knowledge of our righteous predecessors.The mosque is centrally located and can be easily reached by Parc metro.

      It harbors two large prayer halls with a one third being allocated for the sisters, collectively accommodating up to up to two thousand people. There is also a library, which contains books in the various fields of Islamic knowledge, as well as periodicals, audio, and video material in Arabic, English and French.

       The mosque is government registers independent non-profit organization. It is totally dependent on charity and on the efforts of generous Muslims.

 

The goals can be outlined as follows:

 

  • The call for true aqidah following the steps and ways of our righteous predecessors.
  • The spread of Islamic knowledge from its authentic sources among the Muslim community.
  • Raise the Muslim`s self-esteem and revive the hope among them.
  • Working on closing the gaps and eliminating the differences between Muslims by following the original sources of Islam: the book of Allah and the sunnah of the prophet Mohammed (PBUH).
  • Providing social services to the Muslim community.

 

The mosque takes the following steps to achieve the above mentioned goals:

 

  • Round the year workshops in Fiqh and Shariaa.
  • Weekly lectures addressing issue of importance to the Muslims.
  • Annual conferences and gatherings with participation of some prominent scholars from throughout the Islamic world.
  • Periodical reports addressing imports, in the near future (In Shaa
  • ant aspects of the religion and the life of the Muslims.
  • Free 1-800 telephone line for Fatawa.
  • Prepare a web page to serve the Muslim
  • Allah).
  • Lessons in the Quran and Tahfiz.
  • Arabic lessons for non-Arabic speaking Muslims.
  • Working towards the establishment of an Islamic school.
  • Meeting representatives of other mosques and Islamic organizations in the city to discuss issues of concern to the Muslim community and its well being.
  • Participation in the weekly lessons and lectures held at other mosques and in the local universities.
  • The free distribution of tapes and journals in mosques and universities.
  • Collection of the Zakat and Sadaqah and distributing them through the proper channels according to the Shariah.
  • Working on solving disputes and family problems among Muslims.
  • Providing a place (outside Musala area) for the Muslims to celebrate their social events such as Aqiqah and Walimah.

Dear brother and sister; this is a call from your brothers at Assuna Annabawiyah mosque for you to seize the chance given to you by Allah (SWT) to support his religion and serve your community. May Allah accept our deeds and guide us to what he likes and accepts.
